To enable this to happen, we have taken several initiatives like setting up camps and training programmes in rural areas thus helping to increase the literacy levels of these areas and helping underprivileged children achieve their dreams. Furthermore, we have also provided financial assistance and set up scholarship funds to help meritorious but needy students pursue higher studies.
Suumaya believes that by creating opportunities to work in rural areas, we can help empower them and enable them to earn a livelihood. We have setup several skill development measures in rural areas and tribal belts such as training them in basic computer skills, business enhancement skills, English learning skills etc. thus helping create employment opportunities for the underprivileged, differently abled, socially and economically challenged sections of society. This, in turn, has given them the confidence to walk into any job opportunity and thereby enable them to stand on their own feet. To achieve these goals, we not only make sure that our programmes are efficient but also ensure that they are sustainable and relevant to those meant to benefit from them.
